Explore the future: AI trends and real-world impact in a podcast

By Sofía Sánchez González
Artificial intelligence is moving fast. Almost too fast. Every week brings new models, new tools, and bold claims about the future. But how much of it really matters?
Introducing “New, Innovative & Crazy about AI”
That is exactly the question behind New, Innovative & Crazy about AI, the new podcast by Jennifer Bittinger, President at Narrativa and member of the CDISC Board of Directors. Instead of chasing every headline, the podcast does something more useful. It helps you figure out what is actually worth paying attention to.

Tune in weekly to ‘New, Innovative & Crazy about AI’ and stay ahead of the latest trends
Not just another AI podcast
This is not a technical deep dive or a hype-driven roundup. It sits somewhere in between. Each episode revolves around a simple framework:
- What is truly new?
- What is genuinely innovative?
- And what is just… a little crazy?
It is a surprisingly effective way to navigate a space where everything claims to be revolutionary.
What you will hear in the first episodes
The first three episodes set the tone quickly.
Episode 1: Autonomous AI agents
We start with autonomous AI agents. Not chatbots, but systems that remember, plan, and act. Think less ‘assistant’ and more ‘digital operator.’ These agents can execute tasks, make decisions, and improve over time. Powerful, but also slightly unsettling.
Episode 2: From buzzwords to implementation
Then the focus shifts to implementation. What does it actually take to bring these agents into a real organization? Beyond the buzzwords, this is where things get practical. Infrastructure, workflows, and the gap between demo and deployment all come into play.
Episode 3: Broader horizons
By the third episode, the lens widens. From advanced models to enterprise agent platforms and AI-driven scientific discovery, the question becomes sharper. Which of these developments will actually change how we work, and which are just incremental upgrades dressed as breakthroughs?
Why life sciences should pay attention
Even if the podcast is not exclusively about life sciences, the overlap is hard to ignore. AI is already transforming how life sciences organizations turn complex data into compliant, high-quality content. Instead of manually translating clinical, regulatory, or scientific data into documentation, AI can extract key insights and generate clear, structured narratives in seconds.
Platforms like Narrativa take this further by enabling the automated generation of large volumes of regulatory and scientific documentation, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and compliance in highly regulated environments.
Looking ahead, autonomous AI agents could elevate this even more. Not just generating content, but orchestrating entire workflows, updating documents as new data arrives, and continuously adapting outputs to different regulatory requirements and audiences.
But here is the catch. In life sciences, not everything that is new is usable. And not everything that is innovative is safe or validated. That is why this podcast feels relevant. It encourages a more critical mindset, which is essential in fields where precision and compliance are non-negotiable.
A quick chat with Jennifer Bittinger
To get a bit more context, we asked Jennifer a few questions.
What made you start this podcast?
AI is evolving so quickly that it is easy to get distracted. I wanted to create something that helps people focus on what actually matters and what can be applied in real scenarios.
How do you personally spot the difference between hype and real innovation?
If it can be implemented and scaled, it is innovation. If it sounds impressive but has no clear use case yet, it might still be in the ‘crazy’ category.
Where do you see AI agents making the biggest impact next?
In complex environments like enterprise operations and scientific research. Anywhere you have large amounts of data and decision-making processes, agents can make a real difference.
Final thought
You do not need to follow every AI announcement to stay relevant. You just need to understand which ones matter. This podcast helps you do exactly that.
